A Night of Gluttony

Had a sinfully delicious and fattening buffet dinner at Shangri-La KL Hotel with my dad last night. Didn't buy him any gifts for his birthday last month, so thought of bringing him here to eat those expensive yummy food, since usually he won't spend a lot on food.

Reached there at about 7:30pm, after the usual traffic jam along Jalan Sultan Ismail. Wasted no time, we quickly go into the Lemon Garden Cafe, on the ground floor. This time, I brought along my Time magazine, and newspaper as well. My dad is not so much a talker, so I read in between our conversations. Kakakaka...

Ok, I'll let the pictures do the talking now...since I'm not so much a talker as well.

* Left: First round - Chinese food * Right: Close up of the delicious roasted duck meat

* Left: Second round - Dim sums, the fried squid is simply wonderful * Right: Third round - Rojak cuisine

* Left: Look at those fish roes, can hear the pop sounds when you bite 'em * Right: The soup that tastes like sharkfin-soup

* Left: Fourth round - Can you tell I'm getting full? * Right: Close up of a nice-looking chicken roll

* Left: Fifth round - Seafood soup, asked the chef to give me heaps of those mini-abalones.

* Left: My beloved dad! Aww.... * Right: My dad's favourite oysters and sashimis (yucks for me)

* Left: My favourite food of the night, the braised  beef cubes! * Right: My final assault, the sweet ice-cream (I had 5 scoops of those Kekekeke...)

* The uber-cool deco & design of the cafe. Lotsa lemon grass around, to live up to the cafe's name.

* The cafe's extensive range of desserts. Never touch a single one of them, coz by the fifth or sixth round, my stomach felt like it might burst!!

There's a chocolate fountain in the cafe as well. Didn't take a picture of it as it was swarmed by a school of young girls (I'm shy you know?). Didn't take any picture of other food counters as well, sorry. Just didn't wanna look like a jakun or a trying-too-hard kinda blogger.

Venue: Lemon Garden Cafe, Shangri-La KL
Address: 11, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur.
Price: RM98.00 + 5% Govt Tax + 10% Service Tax
Rating: 8/10

You should try dipping the braised beef cubes in the chocolate fountain.
